I’ve received news to share about the International Family Film Festival Screenwriting Contest.
My drama script, “My Wooden Wings,” has qualified as an Official Selection! (This means one of the top two in a genre.) This means it will either be the winner or runner-up of the screenwriting contest in the category of drama. WOW!!!!!!!! My comedy script,”My New Right Hook” did not advance to “Official Selection” status.
Because “My Wooden Wings” has qualified as an Official Selection, one scene of the script will be performed in front of a live studio audience by professional actors/actresses during the festival. And then afterward, there is a Q and A session with the screenwriter…that’s ME! Woot! Woot!
I haven’t bought my tickets yet, but I’m calling today for more information to try and narrow down flights etc. SO EXCITED!
I have such a good feeling about this story. Such a good feeling about the emotion, message, excitement and adventure of it. And I have such a good feeling about the timing of the whole kaboodle, based on the recent happenings with Women’s Ski Jumping and Winter Olympics, 2014.
2012 is the year things happen.
I can feel it.

You are a brilliant writer. I hope you win. I wish I could be there to watch them act out a scene. You’re pretty amazing Rach.
Thanks to my fellow WIT! (Writers and Illustrators of Tomorrow…or, Woman in Transition)
